Traffic is down to one lane on I-94 in Jackson County after an accident involving 2 semi trucks.

It happened around 9am on I-94 east bound just west of Michigan Avenue in Parma Township.

One semi hit another that was parked on the shoulder. That parked semi was loaded with 25,200 lbs of chemicals stored in 50 gallon containers.

Parma-Sandstone fire personnel are on the scene as of 11:45am, investigating the containers. There has been no sign of any leakage.

One lane of I-94 east will remain closed until the area is cleared.
