An accident took place when semi-truck overturned and spills a load of rubber and 150 gallons of diesel on U.S. 60

U.S. 60 in Union County has reopened at the scene of a semi accident that occurred.

The semi overturned, spilling a load of rubber and 150 gallons of diesel. Officials said U.S. 60 is down to one lane until the truck is removed. The diesel is in a ditch that has been bermed with sand, said Keith Todd, public information officer for the cabinet.

Cleanup work continues along the shoulder of the highway, and motorists are asked to use caution in the area while crews are still on the scene.
