Trucking Accident Article:
Semi-tractor slid off the highway spills hazardous material on interstate 135 near Lindsborg.
At about 5:51 a.m., a southbound semi-tractor slid off the highway near mile marker 74. The accident caused about 25 gallons of diesel fuel from one of the vehicle’s saddle tanks to spill onto the ground.
Firefighters from Lindsborg and McPherson were able to suction off the fuel and transport it from the scene without further incident.
Kansas Highway Patrol troopers, McPherson County Sheriff’s deputies and Lindsborg officers provided traffic control. McPherson EMS personnel also responded, but there were no injuries.
