Two men who were passengers in a red Acura were seriously injured when their car struck onesemi-trailer truck and was then run over by another truck

Hialeah police reported that the Acura and the two semi-trailer trucks were all traveling north onOkeechobee Road near West First Avenue when the driver of the Acura apparently tried tochange lanes. The Acura clipped one of the trucks, spun out of control and into the path ofanother truck, which ran over the vehicle. The two male passengers were seriously injured; thedriver of the Acura and the two semi drivers were unhurt.

The crash split the Acura in two, ejecting one of the passengers from the car andtrapping the other passenger in the smashed wreckage. Both men were taken to JacksonMemorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center for treatment.
