Trucking Accident Article:
Two people taken to Hospital in an accident involving multiple semis on Interstate 380.
A semi crash in the Southbound lanes of Interstate 380 just South of Swisher spilled lawnmowers along the roadway.
The crash, which happened around noon, split one of the semi trailers in two pieces, spilling the lawnmowers onto the Interstate. It’s not clear if there were any injuries.
There were also another accident on Interstate 380. According to a press release, the left lane of I-380 southbound just north of County Home Road in Linn County was closed as of 12 p.m. and it was reopened just before 2 p.m.
Two people were taken to St. Luke's Hospital for non life threatening injuries. During the initial investigation, 73 year old Raymond Johnson from Minnesota were traveling northbound on I-380 when he lost control. Johnson crossed the median and entered the southbound lanes and was hit by another vehicle. The accident is still being investigated by the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
